T H E  P U R P O S E

The Band Boosters are tasked with raising tens of thousands of

dollars each year. It’s no lie - we can’t survive the year without them. Various fundraising events take place throughout the year which require the steady support of our parents and students. Monies raised are used to buy new instruments and equipment for the students, music for the performances, compensate various professionals who assist the band throughout the year and to pay for operational expenses such as travel. Every parent and guardian is a member of the Boosters, but it’s up to the individual to decide whether or not to be an active member. Become

involved so that you are informed, your opinion is heard, and we can benefit from your expertise. A large organization such as this relies on the help and skills of many.

T H E  M E E T I N G S

​

The meetings take place on the second Tuesday of each month unless otherwise scheduled. Each meeting starts at 6:00 p.m. in the Band Room. All members and parents, as well as members of the community, are encouraged to attend. Per the bylaws of the organization, only parents who currently have a student in the band program have voting rights. However, anyone can be involved in conversation and stress their own personal feelings in the matters of the band. We do hope that you will join us for these very important meetings each month.
