2020 Annual Fall Craft Fair
In these difficult times we all face surrounding the ongoing COVID-19 outbreaks, the Warren
Band Boosters would like to address the status of the Annual Fall Craft Fair.
It was a difficult decision to make, but the Band Boosters have elected to cancel the Annual
Craft Fair for 2020. Uncertainty about safety, limitations on gatherings, and the policies of
Warren Local Schools do not allow us to safely and successfully hold the event on our campus.
The Boosters feel a responsibility to help our community remain safe and healthy while we also
recognize that this event, along with other important fundraisers, directly support our students
in the Warren Band Program in many fantastic ways.
The Band Boosters are committed to develop a plan which promotes the safety and well-being
of our vendors, patrons, student workers, and volunteers. As such, we are holding a Virtual
Craft Fair this November. We feel that this option will address both of our direct concerns -
safety of all stakeholders and the potential to raise much needed funds for our students.
Vendors can participate in the event by donating a single item (or multiple items) to the Band
Boosters. These items will then be photographed and posted online along with a description
for a “silent auction” type of event. All monies raised through the online auction will go directly
to the Band Boosters to help support the needs of our students.
As an added incentive, the Vendors which bring in the top three sale prices will receive a
financial “Thank You” from the Boosters. The top item will receive a 30% return of the sale
price, second place will receive 20% and the third-highest sale will receive a 10% return. That
means if your item brings in the highest price of the event, you’ll get a check for 30% of that
sale price back! Participating vendors will automatically retain their spot for the 2021 Annual
Still, some vendors may feel it too risky to participate in this year’s event. Vendors who do not
wish to participate can either opt for a refund of any pre-paid fees and forfeit future
participation (lose your 2021 spot) or leave the deposit on record with the Boosters and retain
rights to future participation (keep a spot for 2021). Vendors who do not communicate their
choice will not retain their spot for 2021 and may miss the opportunity for a refund.
